March 24nd, 2012 - Interview with HANDS Co-founder Mariana Diaz featured on Notre Dame's TheHUB During my semester abroad in São Paulo, Brazil, I had the opportunity of meeting a number of Notre Dame alumni current located throughout the city. It was through one of these meetings that I first met Mariana Diaz, a 2008 graduate. March 22nd, 2012 - HANDS' Summer Programs were featured on the Notre Dame Observer. HANDS, a non-profit organization founded by three Notre Dame alumni from different Central American countries, seeks to reduce poverty levels in Central America by partnering with local organizations and coordinating volunteer programs there, co-founder Mariana Diaz said. December 1, 2009 HANDS is growing and expanding! The inauguration of Hands Guatemala took place in Guatemala City on December 1st with an evening cocktail. The purpose of the event was to threefold. First, it was held to formally introduce the organization to the Guatemalan society, raise awareness of HANDS´ accomplishments and share our aspirations and goals to promote development in Guatemala. Secondly, during the event, we officially launched our website and lastly, it served to raise funds for our organization. Thanks to all those who supported us!
