At HANDS, we are committed to ensuring that our programs positively impact the communities they serve. For this reason, volunteers interested in service programs through our organizations must complete an application process that includes the following requirements:

BREAK PROGRAMS

SUMMER PROGRAM

      Application is open to all based on the stated criteria, but applicants are evaluated in terms of motivation, skills, experience, cultural sensitivity and program availability in line with the interest of the applicant. Our potential volunteers must meet the requirements of the organization where they will serve. Please note that although it is not a prerequisite to apply, HANDS requires that all volunteers/participants have international medical insurance prior to departure.

  **   As a non-profit organization, HANDS relies on the Application Fee to cover the operational and administrative expenses of the program. Identifying appropriate host organizations and working with them takes resources and requires professional staff.
